Vinzenz Weissenburger
Artistic Director, Staatsoper Unter den Linden Children's Choir (Germany)

Vinzenz Weissenburger as a choral and orchestral director equally attracted attention. He works with conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Gustavo Dudamel, Andris Nelsons and Sir Simon Rattle, and conducts ensembles such as the Lautten Compagney Berlin, Konzerthausorchester Berlin and the Staatskapelle Berlin in concertos and operas.
 
From 2005 to 2011 he studied conducting at the Hochschule für Musik Dresden.


From 2007 the Kinderchor der Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin has made a name for itself as an ensemble on the opera stage and in concert appearances in Germany and abroad (e.g. China, USA, Argentina, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore). In September 2015 he founded the youth chamber choir “Junges Consortium Berlin”, both choirs won several gold medals at international Competitions. Since 2016 he is the artistic director of the symphonic choir "Junges Ensemble Berlin“. 
Vinzenz Weissenburger received twice a special prize for “excellent conducting”, gives concerts on four continents and holds lectures. Starting from April 2020 he teaches choral conducting at the University of Arts Berlin.
